I’m Dreaming of a Vintage Christmas
Last week I shared my new King of Christmas tree here on the blog. It’s 7.5′ of pure beauty. Although the tree, and everything on it, are all new, my love for vintage and antiques run deep. Most of my dining room decor is second hand, vintage, or antique. It makes me happy. Earlier this year, I decided that I was going to get rid of every single decor piece that wasn’t truly an antique or at least vintage. Side note: linens, couch, pillows, rugs, greenery, and handmade items are not included on my purge list. It’s a process but I’m having fun transitioning it all out. Some areas in the house are empty because I have yet to find the right antique to fill it’s place. Patience is key!
Vintage Christmas Dining Room
I wanted to make a quick Christmas centerpiece with some of my favorite antiques. I was thinking…seltzer bottles galore!! For some strange reason, that my family can’t comprehend, I love blue seltzer bottles. In fact, I just ordered a beautiful set for my men to give me on Christmas. **Insert evil laugh here**
I also used a beautiful, curvy, chippy, architectural salvage piece I found last month. When I bought it, I wasn’t sure how I was going to use it. Turns out that it’s perfect to use in a centerpiece.
Whenever I decorate, I always mix different textures. The garland is from King of Christmas. It’s a beautiful 9′ flocked beauty with LED lights. Because it’s 9′ long, I wrapped it around the back of the centerpiece and it looks awesome. Now let’s be real, this is not a centerpiece you could use on your dining room table on a day-to-day basis. This little set up would be perfect for a special holiday event table or if you have a formal dining room.
I am really enjoying my Vintage Christmas decor this year.
