Hutch Transformation with the Close5 App
I have the pleasure of joining the Close5 App to show you this amazing hutch that I found while using the app.
When I finally got a chance to take a good look at the piece, I was so happy to see that it didn’t need any work. Yay! I ended up falling in love with it without the top doors, so that’s how it stayed. I painted it with Window Pane by Sweet Pickins Milk Paint. (hint hint to the paint I’ll be carrying soon.) This piece turned out the perfect amount of chippy. Not too much, not too little. I had to scrape a drip of paint off and now it looks like a little chippy heart. It’s so cute. I love the “ship lap” details on the back. I left the hardware as is. I probably should have, but I didn’t even clean it. I feel like I was able to take it out of vintage/modern status and help it go back in time a few decades.
So before I fill this beauty with paint supplies (and move it into my son’s room…yep…my son’s room), I wanted to see it in my dining room all staged with some of my favorite things. I so wish I could keep it just like this! I need more space in my house!
Here’s the before….
Here’s the after….
