“O Christmas Tree”

It’s the year of the new Christmas tree in Momtique house! We have had the same faux Christmas tree for years and years. And man, oh man, has it seen better days.  Half the lights were out and stringing new lights in the section just didn’t look the same.  And after years of cramming it into the box and pulling it out, the tree just didn’t shape nicely anymore. But the main reason I wanted a new tree was because it was too big for our current house, which I will lovingly refer to on the blog as “the tiny rental.”  Because we live in a tight 1,100 sq. ft. house, finding the right size tree was a little bit of a challenge. My mom and I, on a whim, ended up finding our new tree at Sam’s Club of all places. It’s 7′ tall and 30″ wide. Perfect for “the tiny rental.”
From right to left you see the old tree, the tree I had to return because it was too small, and the winner on the left.

Since we bought a new tree, I decided I wanted to get rid of all my old decorative ornaments and start fresh.  Because my style has changed a lot this year, I was really looking forward to decorating the tree. The lovely people at sent me my favorite new additions to this year’s tree.  The Glitter Star Garland is beautiful.  The garland really helps fill out the tree.  The stars are attached by wire so they are perfect for filling in all those empty spots.
Here are 3 stars grouped together at the bottom of the picture.

And here, seen below,  the stars are spread out. It really made the decorating process easy…and beautiful.

But my favorite addition to the tree is the I Am The Bright Morning Star Tree Topper. The tree topper is now the statement piece of the entire tree.  I’ve never really liked the tree toppers I had purchased in the past. They were just decorative and didn’t have any significance behind them. This tree topper catches your eye immediately and reminds you of the true meaning of Christmas. So needless to say, this topper is the winner.  It will adorn our Christmas tree for years to come.

This year I also added some DIY Ornaments and red and gold matte and glitter bulbs.  I love how the red makes the tree really pop.  I fought my husband on the red. But he won. I love it!
Here’s my little love admiring the tree. How sweet is a baby’s first Christmas?? He melts my heart!
