I haven’t blogged in months. Life has taken over. I’ve been happy and I hope you all have been happy too. I’ve been very busy, doing lots of different things like some freelance writing, homeschooling my oldest, raising my boys, and TONS of booth preparations. Even with all of this, I didn’t want to miss out on decorating for Christmas. Sometimes it’s easy to get swept up in what everyone else is doing and how everyone else is decorating. I knew this year was going to be different for me. I wasn’t going to look for inspiration, I wasn’t going to buy anything trendy, and I wasn’t going to add one thing that I didn’t love. Sometimes I feel like I can slip into decorating only with items I can promote instead of decoration with items that I love and that are true to my style. Everything I added this year, I paid for and I absolutely love. My tree is subtle and neutral. My mantle is a little primitive and very uncomplicated. My dining room is sooooooooooo simple it’s almost just like it is during the rest of the year. I would be just fine with keeping all of this up well into January. The only thing I wanted this year that I didn’t get was a flocked tree but there is always next year. Did you notice my “new” dining room light? It took me three and a half years to switch out our rental light….not sure why! But I’m in love!
Well here is my little home all decked for Christmas. I hope you like it as much as I do!
