Frosted Mason Jar DIY
There are a million and one DIY Mason Jar projects out there. So I decided to add one more! I’m going to show you how to easily….I MEAN EASILY…create a Frosted Mason Jar. If you don’t know by now, I love me some sea glass. Some nice blue/green prettiness. In fact, I just bought another blue glass jar for my collection over the weekend. SCORE!
I stumbled upon making this frosted Mason Jar while working on another project. I was making some decorative balls (which I will show you soon) and I figured I would try it out on a Mason Jar. I picked a jar that I’ve never really liked (it’s supper wobbly), just in case this project went south. But south it did not go. (That sentence was written by Yoda) The jar turned out so pretty and so frosty. Brrrrrr. And it’s the perfect blue/green color.
Here’s the crazy how to…hold on to your hats and glasses folks….SPRAY PAINT IT!!!! Just spray paint the outside of the jar. I applied a few coats and it was good to go.
I turned a not so great Mason Jar into a beautifully frosted statement piece.
I used Krylon Sea Glass Sea Foam Spray Paint. I’m kind of obsessed with it now! It comes in other colors that I have yet to try so that’s going on my summer to do list.
*WARNING* It scratches very easily. You can wipe the scratch away for the most part but be careful with it.
And check out those peonies…I mean…come on!!!!
Now I need to go run around the house and see what else I can spray paint.
And remember, you did it yourself and it will probably show. Embrace the DIY life.
